We listened to what you told us you dreamed of, and we designed you a trip with our passion that is specific to your interests. We kept it relaxed and genuine, and avoided the tourist traps. We chose lovely homestay accommodation. We designed you a mixture of culture days, nature days and of course sunny beach days. You will see the views from spectacular volcanos. You will have days to relax and unwind at by the ocean.
You have activities planned that will feed you with some local culture. There are opportunities to get close to nature. And you also have free time to add more adventures as you go such as yoga workshops, easy hikes, snorkel tours, temple tours, shopping days and volunteer work…. you are free to tailor the trip however you like!

The mission of Julie’s company is “Let’s Feel Free”. Activities are free to be booked by the guests on location. We believe during a trip you have to keep a certain form of freedom. Which means, you don’t have to climb a volcano summit if its pouring rain, but you can decide to have a spa wellness or shopping day instead. The GiliTA team will remain available to book tours on location, or by WhatsApp for advice and ideas. We can also book them in advance on special request.

TRAVEL SUMMARY
DAY 1 – 3: YOGYAKARTA (JAVA) (2 nights)
- Yogya is the departure place for visiting the Borobudur and Prambanan, a student’s city, known for its traditional art and cultural heritages. The Sultan’s palace has classical Javanese dance performances and gamelan concerts.
DAY 3 – 4: JOGJAKARTA – BROMO (JAVA) (1 night)
- Transfer from Yogyakarta to Bromo by train, through an amazing scenery of rice fields and unforgettable panoramas.
DAY 4 – 5: BROMO VOLCANO (JAVA) (1 night)
- Bromo is one of Indonesia’s most famous volcanos. Mount Bromo is part of the Tengger massif, its 2329 metres high and a fairly easy climb. It’s most famous for the stunning views of la caldeira de Tenggar.
DAY 5 – 6: IJEN VOLCANO (JAVA) (1 night)
- With its one-kilometer- wide turquoise- coloured acidic crater lake and the electric-blue flame of Kawah Ijen, this 200 metres deep fairly easy hike will blow your mind.
DAY 6 – 8: MUNDUK (BALI) (2 nights)
- Munduk is located in Singaraja, my favourite part of Bali. On top of the lakes, amongst hidden waterfalls and the local villagers climb up in the trees, cultivating cloves. Land of the fresh strawberries and mind-blowing views of the valley below. Do some easy local walks to enjoy the fabulous views or find a quiet spot to meditate and relax into your trip.
DAY 8 – 12: UBUD (BALI) (5 nights)
- Ubud is a cultural, artistic, and charming small town. Ubud means medicine in Indonesian. It has become Bali’s center to practice yoga, eat healthy food, recharge and rejuvenate amid Ubud’s rice paddies. Deepen your practice at Intuitive Flow Yoga or The Yoga Barn with classes for all levels and styles, or spend a day at the Green School Ubud and learn about local conservation.
Day 12 – 20: GILI AIR (LOMBOK) ( 7 nights)
- The Gili islands have something to make every traveler happy. After travelling the world for 6 years, I’ve decided to call this island home. The island is most famous because it’s crawling with marine life. Gili Air is ideal for relaxing, snorkeling, scuba diving and beach parties.
- There is also plenty of time whilst on Gili Air to explore Lombok by taking day trips to Senaru waterfalls and have lunch at the Rinjani lodge, or visit the rice fields and fishing villages at Tetebatu.
Day 21: Travel Back to Jakarta from Lombok Airport

DAY 1 – 3: YOGYAKARTA

DAY 1
Free time to rest and discover the buzzing city after the flight. I advise you to treat yourself to a good massage, followed by a delicious dinner, I know an excellent address where they cook fabulous food, a fusion between French and Indonesian cuisine. You’ll get more information in your roadbook after confirming your booking and we remain available via Whatsapp during your holiday.
DAY 2
Daytrip : Visit Borobudur and the temple of Prambanan
The Temple of Borobudur (UNESCO) is the biggest Buddhist temple in the world.
Visit the temple of Prambanan, an assembly of 240 temples (UNESCO).
DAY 3
Enjoy the beauty of the cultural city center, visit the Kraton (Sultan Palace), the birds market, Marlioboro street…
DAY 3 – 4: YOGYAKARTA – BROMO
Transfer from Yogyakarta to Bromo by train, through an amazing scenery of rice fields and unforgettable panoramas.

ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA: You can book and pay the Bromo sunrise trek directly with the hotel on location. We will mention in the booking emails that you will join the sunrise Bromo tour the next day. Let us know if you’d like to book and pay in advance. After booking confirmation, we’ll give you the contacts of Novan, our favourite guide of the area and you can book it directly with him. We arrange transfers and lodging.
Start the day with watching the sunrise on the caldeira de Tenggar. After which you will cross the sandy desert to climb the volcano, where you’ll spend the night (trekking level: medium).
The Bromo volcano is part of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Brahma, the Hindu creator god, is where the name of Bromo is derived from. Workers collect sulfur from inside the caldera.
DAY 5- 6: IJEN VOLCANO

TRANSPORT: Our private driver will drive you from Bromo to IJen volcano. A day of travelling and visiting, from Bromo to Ijen. The scenery is beautiful and the nature is extraordinary.
LODGING: Kampoeng Joglo Ijen
Kampoeng Joglo Ijen is founded on the slopes of Mount Ijen with shades of natural tropical forests East Java houses style.

ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA: You can book and pay the Ijen trek directly with the hotel on location or choose to book in advance with Novan, our special driver and guide on Java. Let us know if you’d like to book and pay in advance. Start the day by driving to Ijen’s crater. At the foot of the crater, a stunning walk awaits you, with a beautiful panorama, on a turquoise lake with sulfur fumes.
The locals carry out the sulphur on their shoulders. Don’t miss the volcano trek at night: thanks to the Sulphur, the blue fumes cover the inside of the volcano.
DAY 6 – 8: MUNDUK
EASY WALKING – VIEWS – SUNSETS – CULTURE
Munduk is located in Singaraja, my favourite part of Bali. On top of the lakes, amongst hidden waterfalls and the local villagers climb up in the trees, cultivating cloves. Land of the fresh strawberries and mind-blowing views of the valley below.
TRANSPORT: Our private driver Novan will drive you to a small harbour, where you’ll catch the ferry to Bali, then he will drop you to Munduk.
LODGING: Aditya Homestay
Aditya Homestay is one of my favorite places in Bali. It’s a lovely local family guesthouse, on the top of a valley. The breakfast is exquisite, served with fresh orange & strawberry juice and stunning views of the valley below.

DAY 8 – 13 UBUD
YOGA – MEDITATION – SHOPPING – VOLUNTEER – CULTURE
Ubud is a cultural, artistic, and charming small town. Ubud means medicine in Indonesian. It has become Bali’s center to practice yoga, eat healthy food, recharge and rejuvenate amid Ubud’s rice paddies.

TRANSPORT: Our Balinese guide/driver will wait you at Bali airport and will drop you to Ubud by private car.
LODGING: Made’s guesthouse is located in Penestanan, a village of artisans, where the zen lifestyle and fair trade are prevalent.

ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA: You can visit Ubud city: the Ubud Palace, the monkey’s forest, the traditional market, enjoy a yoga class, a massage or a Balinese dancing show…
YOGA: There are several beautiful studios in Ubud with many classes per day. Intuitive Flow, The Yoga Barn are two good examples. Classes are cheap compared to Europe so you can indulge in as many as you have the energy for!
CULTURE: Visit the many temples and water temples. rice fields and traditional coffee plantations, just book when you are on location!
VOLUNTEER: You can spend some time at the Green School in Ubud and learn about their mission to educate the next generation in a different way. Ubud is all about community, there are many opportunities to get involved, just look at the notice boards at any of the coffee shops!
There are many things to see outside of the city like Tegalalang rice fields terraces, Tampat Siring temple or all the handcraft villages around Ubud. Call one of our guides, you’ll have their number in the road book to book all activities yourself on location, book at your hotel, or ask locals.
DAY 13 – 20 GILI AIR
BEACHES – YOGA – MEDITATION – SUNSETS – RELAX
Gili Air is the closest Gili to Lombok. As soon as you set foot on Gili Air, you’ll feel your body and soul fill up with an extreme sensation of relaxation, you’ll naturally slow down… it’s the magic of Gili Air.
On this eco- island, no motorized vehicles are allowed. The island is travelable by foot in around one hour and a half, but you can choose to use a bicycle or a cidemo (local horse cart). Enjoy the peace and quiet of an island that is free of traffic. Allow yourself to have your spirit lifted and your body and soul nourished.

ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA: The island has plenty of things to do. It’s surrounded by white sandy beaches, crystal clear blue water and pristine coral reefs. Gili Air is the ideal place for a private snorkelling trip amongst Gili Air’s turtles, You can go horse riding, fishing, spear fishing, take Indonesian cooking classes, SUP (stand up paddle boarding), SUP Yoga, acro yoga, yin yoga, hatha yoga, fly high yoga, meditation, cycling, island hopping and magical sunsets.
NATURE CONSERVATION: Take part in beach cleanup by volunteering with Oceans5 or Gili Island Divers or the Shark Warriors in their weekly community activities.

DAY 21 – Travel Lombok to Jakarta

TRANSPORT: Public fast boat to Lombok and private driver transfer from Bangsal to Kuta.
ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA: Rent a motorbike and discover the Lombok southern unspoiled beaches: Kuta beach, Tanjung Ahn, Mawun and Selong Belanak. Have a surf lesson with locals on the beach. Book a tour with Wayan (contact in the road book) and visit the villages where local people make pottery, basket weaving from grass, bamboo and rattan accessories.
DAY 27: Fly Lombok to Jakarta
