GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Welcome to GiliTA! Below are the general terms and conditions that apply to your booking and travel arrangements with us. Please read carefully and contact us if you have any questions.
Reservation and Payment Conditions
Reservation Confirmation:
Your reservation is complete and confirmed once GiliTA (PT. Ayo Merasa Bebas) receives both the deposit and the necessary completed forms from each passenger. This includes:
- Quotation
- Itinerary
- Registration form
- Terms and conditions agreement

Payment Reference:
Payments should be made in a single transfer per group, clearly referencing the dates and package name. For example: Bali Scuba Safari, 11 Oct. 2016 – 26 Oct. 2016.

Currency:
All prices are quoted in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). The daily exchange rate, as provided by xe.com, applies for conversions.

Deposit:
A 50% deposit is required within 7 days to confirm the booking. If the deposit is not received, GiliTA (PT. Ayo Merasa Bebas) reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Final Payment:
The remaining 50% of the full payment is due 90 days before departure.
Â
Single Supplement:
Single supplement rates are available upon request.

Unused Services:
Unused services are non-refundable and non-transferable, depending on the terms and conditions of our partners. Exceptions may apply upon request.
Payment Methods
Bank Transfers:
All bank charges related to your transfer are your responsibility. Ensure your bank uses the most efficient method for the transfer. Payments should be made in one transfer per group with clear reference to the dates and package name.

PayPal & Credit Card Payments:
A surcharge of 3% to 6.5% applies. Ensure that the dates and package name are clearly referenced when using PayPal. We accept credit cards on-site, but not online.

EUR/USD Notes:
Banknotes older than 2006 are not accepted in Indonesia. Ensure that your notes are new and free of pen marks or stamps.
Insurance
Recommended Insurance Policies:
- Travel Insurance
- Medical Insurance
- Dive Insurance
- Baggage Insurance
- Trip Cancellation Insurance

Travel Cancellation Insurance:
Ensure your insurance covers cancellation fees due to sickness, employment loss, accident, death of a relative, etc. It should also include assistance coverage for repatriation costs, early return, hospital fees, etc.

Medical & Dive Insurance:
Required insurance covers assistance, medical costs, public liability, and accidents. We support DAN, the largest association dedicated to scuba diving safety.

Passenger Responsibility:
Passengers are responsible for all travel-related obligations, including obtaining a visa, valid insurance, and handling customs formalities.
Cancellation and Rate Changes
Cancellation Policy:
All payments are non-refundable unless covered by your insurance. If you need to cancel, please contact GiliTA. By accepting our terms, you also accept the terms of our partners. Cancellation costs are the passenger’s responsibility. Any remaining credit after cancellation fees can be reused at another time. Administrative costs will be charged for services provided.

Trip Modifications:
Changing, shortening, or reducing the number of passengers in a trip is considered a cancellation and is non-refundable. Contact the GiliTA team for potential arrangements.

Flight Cancellations or Delays:
We cannot refund payments due to flight cancellations or delays. These costs are the passenger’s responsibility unless covered by insurance.

Cancellation by GiliTA:
- Force Majeure: GiliTA may cancel a trip due to force majeure, such as strikes, turmoil, government instructions, or other limiting factors.
- Unavoidable Reasons: GiliTA reserves the right to cancel the trip for unavoidable reasons and will inform the customer as soon as possible.
- No Refund Policy: GiliTA does not offer refunds for additional expenses incurred by trip members due to cancellations. GiliTA acts as a middleman and cannot be held responsible.
Liability
Damage or Loss:
Passengers are responsible for any damage or loss caused during their stay.

Service Provision:
GiliTA cannot be held responsible for the inability to provide expected services due to external contractors’ defaults, conflicts, or serious uncontrollable issues.

Personal Belongings:
GiliTA is not responsible for any lost or damaged personal belongings.
Â
Accidents or Injuries:
GiliTA is not liable for accidents or injuries during the trip.
Â
Air Travel Arrangements:
GiliTA does not bear responsibility for compensation claims related to air travel arrangements.
Â
Itinerary Changes:
Activities and itineraries can change without notice to ensure passenger safety, due to weather conditions, technical problems, or other limiting factors.

Weather and Sea Conditions:
GiliTA cannot be held responsible for delays, re-routing, or changes due to weather, sea conditions, government actions, sickness, or force majeure.
