Do you know how long it takes for a simple plastic grocery shopping bag to decompose into nature?

Every year 380 billion plastic bags are made, requiring the equivalent of 12 million barrels of oil per year. The biggest problem is that plastic bags, plastic bottles and other plastic materials don’t decompose, they basically stay with us, in the environment, forever.

A Dutch environmentalist has been doing some interesting research to clean plastic waste from the oceans. He’s just successfully proven that the ocean is able to clean itself. Plus it will only cost 6$ per kilo and the plastic could be turned into oil. Which we clearly have a market for. We at GiliTA have decided to collaborate with him and support his cause. For every reservation, 1$ will go to The Ocean Cleanup.
